one day, we’ll cease to be human and become nothing but soul.

Question of
you’re ascending…or descending??? or maybe, you aren’t moving at all. where are you going? what does it feel like?
-
i’m floating, like a cloud. it’s so light.
-
i’m spinning around and around and around-
-
it feels like i’m lifting, lifting from my body
-
i’m sinking, down into the earth
-
i’m shaking.
-
-
Question of
you’re awake. there’s a person in front of you. they’re in black, shapeless clothes. in fact, maybe it’s not a human. you see none of their skin, nor their face. just fabric and two, unblinking eyes. do you trust them?
-
no. they’re not even real.
-
yes. i can feel it. they want to help me.
-
no. they brought me to this miserable place.
-
yes. they brought me to this wonderful place.
-
who am i?
-
-
Question of
they wave their hands, and suddenly you’re watching a dog fight. a dog of white and a dog of black. they’re both covered in blood. aggression and vengeance are in the eyes of the white dog. fear and panic are in the eyes of the black dog. who do you bet on?
-
the black dog. i always bet on losing dogs.
-
the white dog. i want to win, too.
-
the black dog. the underdog will always come out on top.
-
the white dog. it feels powerful.
-
i don’t bet on other’s pain.
-
-
Question of
the dogs are gone. the figure in front of you waves their hands again, and you’re in a room. what does the room look like?
-
it’s not a room, it’s a forest.
-
an abandoned hay farm.
-
an empty road winds around the floor, and across the ceiling.
-
my bedroom.
-
everything is so dark.
-
-
Question of
you’re alone for so long. does it bother you?
-
no. i’ve always been alone.
-
yes. i’ve always been alone.
-
no. i’ve never been alone before.
-
yes. i’ve never been alone before.
-
i’m not alone. not really.
-
-
Question of
it’s burning now. your skin is shedding. you see the figure above you, as you raise your head to scream. there is no emotion in their eyes. do you still believe them to be human?
-
no. humans feel too much to do this to me.
-
yes. humans will never feel enough, and would always do this to me.
-
no. they’re floating, they’re a god.
-
yes. their eyes are too real. they’re watching.
-
i never believed this creature was a human.
-
-
Question of
do you want the pain to stop?
-
yes. of course.
-
no. it feels nice.
-
i don’t know.
